Adopt a Flock of Ducks - You Could Win a Prize!
Flocks of rubber ducks are ready to race for exciting prizes at the Rubber Duck Regatta on September 9th. Get in on the action by adopting a flock or more of ducks - if your duck wins a race, you win a prize!
Plan to join us at the 11th Annual Rubber Duck Regatta for an afternoon of family games, goodies and live entertainment. This year's Regatta takes place on Sunday, September 9th from noon to 4:30 p.m. at Riverfront Park in south Billings (map). (You need not be present at the Regatta to win a prize - but we hope to see you there!)
You can adopt one duck for $5 or a flock of six ducks for $25. Ducks can be adopted by mail or online. You can adopt any number of ducks by mail, but only flocks of six can be adopted online.
To adopt individual ducks or a flock by mail, please send a check for the correct amount and write "Rubber Ducks" on the memo line. Mail your check to:

Day of Caring Helps BSSS Programs and Clients
Volunteers from Conoco Phillips refinery and Montana Dakota Utilities made Big Sky Prevention of Elder Abuse (BSPEA) more accessible to people using wheelchairs and helped our clients ready their homes and yards for winter at the Day of Caring on September 15th.
In one afternoon, volunteers from Conoco Phillips completed an 8-foot wheelchair ramp extension at the BSPEA office. They removed broken concrete and constructed the new section from scratch. Wheelchair users can now easily get from their cars to our office.
"These talented volunteers did an amazing job constructing the ramp in a short time," said Christiane Sikora, Executive Director of Big Sky Senior Services (BSSS).

Other volunteers helped elderly and disabled BSSS clients prepare their yards and homes for winter. Five crews of volunteers performed a variety of home maintenance chores such as painting, window washing, garden cleanup and brush removal. This help is invaluable for our senior and disabled clients who have limited mobility and who want to continue living in their homes.
A third group of volunteers prepared and painted office space at Big Sky Senior Services. They started a day early, prepping the walls for painting. Thanks to the many volunteers generously donated their time to improve our offices and our clients' homes.
