Join us in downtown Billings for a St. Patrick's Day Pub Tour on Friday, March 17th and the 25th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Celtic Street Fair on Saturday, March 18th.
Pub Crawl - 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 17th
Billings' Caledonian Pipe and Drum Band will host the Pub Crawl, kicking off at 4 p.m. at Yellowstone Valley Brewing Company, 2123 1st Avenue North. Big Sky Senior Services (BSSS) will sponsor a Butte Pasty and potato soup sale at the Brewing Company.
Enjoy soup, homemade pastys and beer brewed onsite at the pub. But come early - the pastys sold out at our last event!
St. Patrick's Parade - 11 a.m., Saturday, March 18th
This family fun event will be led by the Caledonian Pipe and Drum Band and will feature the famous Budweiser Clydesdales. The parade proceeds up 3rd Avenue in downtown Billings between 27th and 32nd Streets, then returns on 2nd Avenue.
Celtic Street Fair - 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 18th
The Celtic Fair, featuring food, merchandise and children's activities, will be held on Broadway (28th Street) from 1st to 3rd Avenues.
As part of the Street Fair, MSU-Billings will open its downtown conference room at 207 North Broadway for merchandise booths, children's games and several bands. Be sure to stop by and check out the fun!
Proceeds from the parade and street fair will support BSSS' Senior Helping Hands Program, Prevention of Elder Abuse Program and Friends Volunteer Program. While each program has a distinct mission, the mutual goal is to help elders and disabled adults live safely at home.
BSSS is taking the lead role in organizing the St. Patrick's festivities. Secondary sponsors, who will also benefit from event proceeds, are the Brain Injury Association of Montana, COR Enterprises, Community Housing Investment Program, and the Human Resources Development Council's Growth Thru Art program.
Parade and Celtic Street Fair Entries
To participate in the Parade or Street Fair, click on and then print the appropriate form at the top of this page. Mail or bring the completed form to the Big Sky Senior Services office. Parade and street fair fees are $50 for businesses and $35 for non-profit groups. Awards will be given to the best Walking Unit, Musical Unit, Float, Irish Theme and School Band in the Parade.
