Senior citizens desire the freedom and independence to live in their homes for as long as possible. Thanks to the help of our community, we continued to help many low income and vulnerable local seniors in 2019:
Helping seniors thrive in their own homes. Senior Helping Hands is the only in-home care program in Billings that offers reduced rates based on income. We offer assistance with laundry, homemaking, grocery shopping, transportation to medical
appointments, and medication set-up.
Protecting seniors at risk of elder abuse. The Prevention of Elder Abuse representative payee program helps low-income seniors who are unable to manage their own finances, and protects them from fraud, predatory lenders, and financial exploitation.
Guarding our most vulnerable citizens. The Yellowstone Guardianship Council volunteers to help individuals who have no family and are residing in long-term care.
Reaching out to seniors. The Friends Volunteer program is here to connect volunteers to homebound seniors as a phone
friend, a visiting friend, or to lend a hand.
